Critical Errors
If there are errors in your file, the forms will not be imported. Instead, you'll get a popup telling you the import was unsuccessful, with a link taking you to a page with a red banner across the top that says "Import Unsuccessful, No Forms Imported". Critical errors will be listed on the screen, and must be corrected in order to continue the import.
How to Resolve a Critical Error
- Select the Audit File/Error File button to download the audit file spreadsheet.
- This button will be right below the red banner, to the far right.
- Open the audit file.
- Scroll down until you find a cell with information in column A, and make note of the listed error.
- Column A will list all errors found for that specific row.
- Scroll over to the right until you find the cell highlighted in yellow in the same row.
- Highlighted cells are cells containing errors.
- Update the data in the highlighted cell as needed.
- Repeat steps 3-5 for all rows that contain an error.
- Save the audit file under a different name.
- Attempt to import the audit file.
- The process to import the audit file is identical to importing the original template.
The audit file and import unsuccessful error summary pages are limited to showing 1,000 errors. If your file contains more than 1,000 errors, you will get a new batch of errors and a new audit file when you import again. This is normal; you will need to repeat the import and audit file editing process more than once to get through all errors.
