Xero - How to Import Data

Importing Data by Creating a New Yearli Account

  1. In the Xero software navigate to the Marketplace.
  2. Search for and select Yearli 1099.
  3. At the Yearli landing page, select the type of account that best fits your filing needs; Core, Performance, or Premier.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your user information; including name, company, address, email address and password.
  5. Select Confirm if setting up a Core account or Continue if setting up a Performance or Premier account.
    • If the Performance or Premier subscriptions were selected, enter credit card information for the subscription fee, and choose the Pay & Create Account button to finalize account setup.

Importing Data from Xero into an Existing Yearli Account

  1. Log in to Yearli.
  2. On the Home screen, click Import Forms / Templates.
  3. Choose the Xero button.
  4. Choose the form type.
  5. The Xero import page will display with instructions.
  6. Select the Connect to Xero button to continue with the import process.
  7. Enter your Xero log in credentials.
  8. Select the payer you wish to import.
  9. Choose the Allow Access button.
    • A text box will appear explaining you will see a popup when the import is complete.
    • Optionally, enter your email address to get an email notification, so you can leave the site.
  10. Click "start import"
    • You will be returned to the home page, and can continue to use the site.
    • When the import completes, a popup will appear in the upper right corner. It will tell you if the import is complete or encountered errors, and will have a link to whichever page you'll need to be on to continue the process.
      • If you entered an email address, you will also get an email.
  11. Click the link in the popup to continue.
  12. If errors are found within the 1099-MISC data, the popup link will take you to a page where an Audit Report will display.
    • Review the audit report and correct the data errors within the Xero software.
    • Start the import process again from Step 1.
  13. If no errors are found, the forms will be automatically imported into the Yearli site. A message will display showing the total number of payers and forms imported. Click Ok.
  14. The imported forms will be available to review and modify in Forms.
  15. Repeat Steps 1-11 for any additional payers that need to be imported.
